Q: My court case was just disposed of.  Can get my property back if I come to the police department on the same day? A: No. Unfortunately, it may take several days for the court to process the paperwork and send it to the police department. As always, it is best to call the evidence custodian prior to coming to the police department to confirm that the paperwork has arrived.

Q: How long will the police department hold "found" property?  When can I claim an item I found and turned in? A: The police department will hold "found" items of value for a period of six months. Yes, you may claim the item you "found" after the six month period has elapsed.
