City of New London COVID UPDATE:

Yesterday, the CDC deemed New London County to be designated as “substantial” in terms of COVID transmission. In areas with substantial transmission, CDC recommends that everyone (including fully vaccinated individuals) wear a mask in public indoor settings to help prevent spread of the Delta variant and to protect others. This is important because new data show that fully vaccinated people who are infected with the Delta variant might be infectious and might potentially spread the virus to others.

Effective Tuesday August 3, 2021, City of New London Municipal Buildings shall remain open to the public, however face mask or reasonable cloth coverings will be required for the public to enter any of the city buildings.  At the entrance of each city building there will be warning signs that mask or facial covering are required.  The city will have a supply of unused masks for those who arrive and who do not have a mask or face covering.  While the public is in a city building the face covering shall remain appropriately in place.

Exceptions:  Those with a medical condition, or those with a religious objection to wearing a mask, each shall call ahead and make an appointment or prior arrangements for service.

The City’s Finance Building at 13 &15 Masonic Street, will be open to the public by appointment only, and the public can use the drive thru entrance on the west side of the building.
