Mayor Michael Passero and the New London City Council are pleased to announce the upcoming paving schedule for the City of New London.
The City of New London’s 2024 initial street milling and paving project will begin on July 8, 2024. The scope will include complete or, in some areas, one-lane restorations of sections of Broad Street, Connecticut Avenue, Lincoln Avenue, Waller Street, Waller Court, Pleasant Street, West Coit Street, Lincoln Court, Clover Street, Raymond Street, Acorn Street, Konomoc Street, Dow Street, Ledyard Street, Wassimer Court, Oneco Avenue, Farnsworth Street, and Saltonstall Avenue.
The estimated $1.1 million project, a significant investment, includes a substantial contribution of $596,678 from Eversource. This funding will cover restoring areas disrupted by utility trenching and filling, a crucial aspect of the project.
Burns Construction, Inc., the qualified bidder in the city's competitive bid process, will perform the work.
